Blush Impressions N5 Vibrating Dildo

Today I’m reviewing another great product from Blush Novelties: the Impressions N5 Vibrating Dildo. This is another toy recently added by Peepshow Toys and they asked if I’d like to review one of them. With several options to pick from, I selected the phallic looking N5.

Of the 5 Impressions dildos, the N5 is the largest, measuring an impressive 8.25 inches in length. The insertable portion is 5 inches, so even if taking 8+ inches seems like a daunting task, the usable portion of the toy really isn’t quite as long. Comparatively, only one of the others in this collection has a shorter insertable length, even though the N5 is longer overall. A comparison chart of the entire Impressions collection is posted below. The N5 has a width of 1.6 inches, which is about average for the series (every toy has either a 1.5″ or 1.6″ width). The dildo is made with silicone, which makes it odor-free and body friendly. It comes in a deep red color that I really like. The surface of the toy is very smooth and has a satiny finish. As with many smooth toys, you’ll need to use lots of lube to ensure “grabbing” doesn’t occur during penetration and thrusting. Your favorite water-based lubricant should work fine with this toy. The Impressions toys are waterproof, which not only makes cleaning up easier, but means you can take them into the shower or bath. The N5 comes equipped with a wide suction cup base. Even if you’re not utilizing the suction cup. the base works great for supporting the dildo when used in an upright position, and gives you something that’s comfortable to hold on to if you’re grasping the toy in your hand. The suction cup works wonderfully, too, almost to the point of not being able to pry the thing loose when you’re ready to release it. The base is also designed to work with many harnesses, so this might be a fun toy to try with pegging. I’m not sure how the large bulge (with a 6.5″ circumference) at the lower end of the shaft would work with some harnesses, so consider carefully if you’re buying one strictly for strap-on use.

Even though it’s got a smooth, satiny finish, the Impressions N5 is an incredibly solid toy. I expected this, given that its insides house the workings of the 10-setting vibrator, but the dildo itself is very firm. Blush has given the lower part of the shaft some flexibility, but the upper few inches won’t bend. Personally, I love a nice firm toy — especially in the upper portion — but I know some like dildos that are softer and bendier, so it bears mentioning. The vibrator is rechargeable and the toy comes with a charging cable that works well. First of all, it has a magnetic connection, so all you need to do to attach the thing is snap it to the metal port at the bottom of the toy. Click. That’s it. The other end slides into your USB charging port. Another thing I really liked about the charging cable is that it’s flat. You can easily fold it up like a ribbon for storage when it’s not in use. I don’t think I’ve ever seen this style of cord with a sex toy, so it’s pretty cool. Once attached, wait for the pulsing light to turn solid and it’s ready to be used.

The Impressions N5 is a vibrating toy, but it need not be used with the vibrator. Because of its dick-like design — angled head, curved shaft — it can be enjoyed without turning it on at all. The rigidness of the N5 puts this dildo right up there with stainless steel sex toys and incredibly firm solid dildos. Again, if you’re not accustomed to firm toys, the N5 might take some getting used to. But this thing is a wonder when it comes to prostate stimulation.

While I was expecting this toy to feel nice, I had no idea how well it would work for me when the enlarged head came near my P-spot. Usually if I want this kind of intense pressure on my prostate, I need to pull out my Njoy Pure Wand and utilize one of the hard steel balls. Unexpectedly, the Blush Impressions dildo had a similar effect. Due to its varying thickness near the top, I started to slowly rotate the dildo to see which angle was more comfortable for penetration and as the toy was spinning inside my hole, I was rocked with some incredible prostate stimulation. What?! Honestly, I sat there slowly spinning this thing, amazed at how this toy was rubbing my nugget. Mind-blowing! And I hadn’t even worked it in to the bulge at the lower end of the toy. Given how astonished I was by the surprise prostate massage, I was almost afraid to switch on the vibrator. (As good as the Pure Wand feels, it doesn’t vibrate.)

The Impressions N5, on the other hand, not only vibrates, but it vibrates powerfully. The good news for those who like intense vibrators, the N5 starts hard and only grows more powerful with each click. To power the toy on: press and hold the upper Power button (a solid LED light will come on) and then use the lower button to cycle through the 10 settings. There are 5 rumbly steady vibration levels, mostly concentrated in the upper portion of the toy. If you like an energetic vibe during anal and/or prostate stimulation, you’re definitely in luck with this dildo. The motor is intense enough to deliver tingly goodness throughout the toy, but it’s the upper part that delivers the maximum effects. The curvy head is so nice, you can click on the vibe and use it strictly for hole stimulation while it’s rumbling, teasing the fuck out of those sensitive nerve endings around the ring. If you thought prostate massage was fun without the vibes, wait until you click them on. It’s almost TOO intense for me to deal with, but I’ll just have to suffer through. ? Seriously, just keep one finger on the controller (difficult to do if you’re rotating the toy like I did) so you can power it down if things get too crazy. As much as I love the powerhouse packed inside this thing, I kind of wish there was a quieter, gentler vibration setting for those times when I don’t want to worry about how I’m going to peel myself off the ceiling when I’m done. Just sayin’….

Once you’ve had your fill of the steady vibes, keep on clicking to access the other five settings:

1. a sputter-to-steady vibe pattern that repeats
2. a rapid burst of pulses
3. an even faster pulsing that continues
4. a pattern of quick bursts followed by a long steady then back again (repeats indefinitely)
5. three different steady pulses, one more intense than the last. Feels like climbing the same three stairs over and over

Honestly, every setting on this toy feels great to me. It’s always fun to find a toy that grinds my prostate the way this one does and to then add such vigorous stimulation on top of that? How could I love this toy any more? Though it’s a bit on the large side (to be fair, it’s quite solid, so maybe it wouldn’t seem quite so big if it bent a little more), I can still get into some pretty intense thrusting with this thing. And I don’t worry so much like I do when using a hard steel toy, which feels like a punch to the guts (literally) if you lose track of what you’re doing. Since the insertable length of this one is only 5 inches, it doesn’t feel quite so intimidating, and boy does fucking myself with this thing blow my mind when the vibrator is blasting away. I tried to spin the toy on top of that, but it was just too much. At least I have a higher level to work myself up to.

The Blush Impressions N5: definitely one of my new Favorites, and mostly likely will end up one of my all-time favorites.
