If you’re a fan of silicone-based lubes – or just ready to try some – you’ll enjoy this lube offering from Str8CamJeff’s Spunk Lube. It’s great stuff!
If you read last week’s review of STR8cam Jeff’s Spunk Lube (the lube that looks and feels like cum), you might remember that when he sent me the lube to review, he also included a sample bottle of Spunk Lube Silicone to try, too. Now silicone lube is probably my favorite stuff. I love the silky feel and how long it lasts, even though you really don’t need a ton of it. Since it feels like your cock is enveloped in a coat of wet satin, it’s the best stuff for masturbation sessions, especially if you’re up for a long slow stroke and don’t want to be constantly reaching for the lube bottle to re-grease your cock.
Lube reviews are generally hard to write, unless there is something particularly awful about the lube that you can talk about. Does it work? Does it not work? Any unpleasant side effects? With good silicone lubes, it’s even harder, because if they’re good, there’s not much else to say. In terms of texture and consistency, the good ones pretty much feel the same, so I generally just order whatever one is available for the better price, or maybe a company has a bigger bottle for a decent price. It’s not like the stuff is going to spoil, so why not go for the bigger one? I’ve tried everything from ID Millennium and Wet Platinum, to the products from Pjur (which are generally more expensive, it seems).
A good silicone lube is going to have a great baby oil-like texture and will last a long time. Spunk Lube Silicone certainly meets this bill. There’s no odor, and it covers nicely. In fact, I might even say that Spunk Lube’s silicone formula feels a bit thicker than the Wet Platinum that’s also on my desk, but I’m not sure the consistency is more than slightly noticeable.
Spunk Lube touts itself as non-staining, and I haven’t had any problem with this silicone lube. As a general rule, if a silicone lube stains your clothing or linens (or your trick’s best muscle shirt), just treat the stain with some oxygen-based laundry cleaner and that usually takes care of it. The only drawback I find with silicone lubes is that they aren’t always compatible with toys that are made of silicone. There’s some complex scientific thing going on here, but – in general – premium silicone toys aren’t going to be affected by premium silicone lubes. Still, always test your toys with any lube before you slather them up and go to town. While using Spunk Lube Silicone, I tested it with silicone toys from Tantus, Rocks Off and Doc Johnson with no ill effects to any of the toys.
There are a couple of reasons I’d be more apt to buy Spunk Lube Silicone from STR8cam Jeff’s store than ordering other brands online. Firstly, Spunk Lube is priced a lot more affordably when you compare different brands ounce for ounce. And not only is it manufactured in the U.S., but when you buy directly from STR8cam Jeff you’re supporting a small business. I’m not saying that the bigger stores and companies don’t deserve our business too (god knows they get enough of mine), but why not give companies like Jeff’s a shot too? He’s got a great product, sexy marketing (okay, I admit a naked muscle guy could probably sell me just about anything), and some of the best service online, adult products or not. If you doubt me, just head over to his Twitter page and look at how much time he devotes to this enterprise. He must have shipped my lubes out the same day, because they arrived two days later…not too shabby for a coast-to-coast shipment. The only thing about this lube that might be a disappointment to some is that it does not have the look and feel of cum, which is true of the Spunk Lube Hybrid. Still, it’s easy enough to pick up one of each when you’re placing an order. Spunk Lube is even available in multi-packs! Thanks again to STR8cam Jeff for letting me try out his lube. Now you go try some! You can order your Spunk Lube Silicone lubricant directly from Jeff:
