Silicone Cock and Ball Straps from Blush Novelties

This is a review of four different cock and ball straps from Blush Novelties. The folks over at Peepshow Toys are always on the lookout for toys made out of body-safe materials and these four straps are made out of silicone. They sent all four to me to test and tell you about, so let’s check ’em out!

These four cock and ball straps are part of Blush Novelties’ Performance line, which includes an assortment of cock rings, dick sleeves/extenders, and lots of anal toys. What Blush has done with these straps is taken sex gear that is typically made out of leather and manufactured it with silicone instead, so you get cock rings that have some stretch to them but will snap back into their original dimensions when you’re finished wearing them. Silicone is much easier to clean than leather, so your straps are going to stay nicer over time. I’m not sure exactly what the metal snaps are made of, but the packaging states they are “nickel free,” so you’re less likely to have a skin rash or an allergic reaction if exposure to products containing nickel are an issue for you. Let’s look at each individual strap.

Performance Silicone 3-Snap Cock Ring (VS5)
It’s just like a basic snap-on leather cock ring, but it’s made of black silicone. In its unfastened state, it’s got a length of 8.75 inches and a width of 0.875 inch. This is a pretty chunky cock strap and it’s designed to wrap around your cock and balls and fasten with one of the three snaps. I’ve included the packaging in each of the product images, because Blush Novelties has printed an illustration showing how each of their silicone straps are designed to be worn. The silicone used in these straps is soft, silky, and very comfortable once you snap the strap around your cock. I love that you can stretch it while putting it on, which makes it easier to fasten and less likely you’re going to pinch your skin. The snaps have a good hold and the strap really works well as a cock ring. The fastened circumference runs from about 7 inches on the loosest setting, to around 5.5 inches if you’re wearing it on its tightest. I’ve often recommended basic snap straps as a good “starter” cock ring and this 3-Snap Cock Ring is no exception. Sometimes you’re just looking for a basic cock ring that goes on easy, doesn’t cause discomfort, is easily adjustable, and comes off in a, well, snap. This one is basic, but it looks great and works well. I definitely recommend this one.

Performance Silicone Double Cock and Ball Strap (VS8)
For guys that really like to wrap their cocks comes this double silicone strap and connected ball ring. One strap snaps around the back of the balls – just like the 3-Snap Cock Ring – and the second strap is designed to fit at the bottom of your shaft. The stretchy silicone ball ring between the straps slips over your nuts and keeps them tight. I liked the idea of the ball ring; the tightness of the 2″ ring was a good fit around the top of my nuts. I put this ring on first, then stretched and snapped the longer cock strap (8.75 inches) around the back of my balls. It has three snaps (only 2 caps, instead of 3, though), just like the basic strap. The shorter (two snaps, 7.75 inches) shaft ring was a little trickier. My shaft isn’t that thick when my dick is flaccid, so even on its tightest circumference it didn’t offer much in the way of restriction. With one less snap, the end of the strap kind of poked up like a dog ear and was a bit of a distraction. The shaft ring did tighten up nicely once I was hard, but the width of the strap seemed a little excessive and got in the way when I used the gear during sex, and even while jacking off. In subsequent uses I snapped the shaft ring first and angled the strap toward my lower belly in a V shape instead of keeping it straight. This way I could wrap the longer cock strap over the point of the V and keep it tucked under the cock strap. This configuration removed a bit of the obstruction at the base of the shaft but still provided a decent fit. It also kept the end of the shaft strap from sticking out. I’d probably recommend the Double Cock and Ball Strap to guys with really thick shafts and/really long dicks, unless you really like the feel of a wide strap at the base of your shaft. Luckily, Blush Novelties offers two other options for strap combos that work behind the balls as well as providing a tight ring at the base of the shaft. Read on.

Performance Silicone Cock and Ball Strap (VS6)
This combo also comes with the 8.75-inch silicone cock ring with three snaps. Instead of a second strap, they’ve attached a 1.25-inch silicone ring that fits over the cock and can be worn at the base of the shaft. It serves the same purpose as the second strap in the double set, but without the extra width. For me, it was a much more comfortable fit than the double strap. I simply worked the silicone ring down over my dick and pulled it as tightly as possible against the base of my shaft. Then the strap portion wraps around the back of the balls, this time from the top, snapping underneath. This time around I had a nice tight fit on my shaft and I could tell it was really working well in tandem with the strap around the base of my cock and balls. I don’t typically look for shaft rings, but this one really worked well for me, and it didn’t feel like it was getting in the way like the Double Strap was. I’d say if you like double cock rings and want one that takes care of the shaft as well, this is my pick. I did kind of miss the ball ring that the Double Strap sports, but the comfort and minimal design of the shaft ring was the bigger plus this time around. The regular sized Cock and Ball Strap was my favorite of any of the straps that offered a shaft ring.

Performance Silicone Cock and Ball Strap – Large Size (VS7)
If you’ve got a big ol’ shaft and want a little more wiggle room that Blush Novelties Cock and Ball Strap can offer, they’ve come out with a bigger size. The 3-snap strap still measures 8.75 inches, but the attached shaft ring measures 1.5 inches, giving the lucky big boys more room for their cocks. The Large model is also a good choice if you don’t want the shaft ring to feel quite so restrictive around the base of your shaft. Now what I loved about the Large Cock and Ball Strap is that you can turn it around and snap it from the top, after pulling your nuts through the silicone ring. That’s right. Remember how I said I was disappointed that this style of shaft/cock ring didn’t have the third ball stretching ring? Well, if you turn it around you can easily use the larger shaft ring as a ball ring instead. And it works perfectly for this. Wearing the round ring around my nuts while the strap was wrapped around the back of my balls gave me a stiff erection and really did a nice job at tugging my balls. I’d definitely recommend the Large Cock and Ball Strap if this configuration would do it for you. It ended up being my favorite of the four once I switched it around and used it as a cock strap/ball stretcher combo. Don’t get me wrong, it works nicely the other way, I just loved wearing it around my balls, too!
